Under my Hat

Cover for Under my Hat- Tales from the Cauldron, edited by Jonathan Strahan and published by Hot Key Books. This is a collection of 18 spooky short stories for teenagers from authors such as Neil Gaiman and Garth Nix.

As if we haven't had enough sport.... Heres some characters I've worked on to promote the Virgin Active Triathlon featuring non olympian ordinary bods.

shazam olympics

More Olympic work this time for Bloomberg BusinessWeek Magazine in the US. These accompany a technology article about Shazam the mobile phone based music identification service and its branching out into more mobile apps during the Olympics.

London

With the opening ceremony tonight this is a bit topical. Cover of Waitrose weekend Magazine. Theres lots of rules about what you can and can't do and so theres no rings, athletes or even mention of the O••••••s.

Weird Science

This is an A3 promo book I've worked on for the ad agency Red C. Its litho printed but has a nice screenprinty feel. I've also done a mural for their offices and some work on their website

Mini Golf

I've been doing quite a bit of work for Atoova in France over the last couple of years and this summer they have got involved with the Paris Plages project, with part of the banks of the seine transformed into a beach. They asked me to develop a mini golf course with landmarks from the capital as golf holes. Heres some pics taken before any serious golfers turned up.

Galbusera

Four press ads for Galbusera in Italy. These advertise Zerograno and Buonicosi biscuits which are low in sugar and gluten.

Stones

My pal Bitan has started up a project which involved 50 designers reworking the Rolling Stones logo. It marks the 50th anniversary of the band. This is my effort. More here.

High 5

I was one of 5 people chosen by Design Supremo to make print to celebrate their 5 years as a gallery. Heres some blurb-
Celebrating 5 years of Design Supremo, High 5 is the exciting ‘behind the scenes’ project from Ben Dodgson and Chris Lees, showcasing the talents and varying styles of five exceptional creatives working to one specific brief; ‘Design an A2 poster based on the theme ‘High 5’ in 1 colour only’. Specifically chosen, to offer a spectrum of styles that add to the uniqueness of the project, the High 5 artists are: Ian Anderson (founder of the Designers Republic), Paul Farrell, Stephen Kenny, Natsko Seki & Andy Smith.

They also made a short film about the process, that follows the production of the prints at Bob Eight Pop. You can see the film and the prints here

More cards

I've made another 7 more cards for the folks at Nineteenseventythree. Again they are mostly based on screenprints I've done.

Channel 4

I've been working for a while with NB Studio on the annual report for Channel 4, which has now been published. I worked on the type throughout the report and a set of illustrations which compile lots of facts and figures about specific programmes in to one image. They are in a similar vein to a poster I designed for The Big Fish Fight last year.
